Mold On Shelves
This home had mold growing in their selves but didn’t know why it would be there. Most fungi need to have moisture to grow and the cupboard didn’t seem to be wet in any way.
The problem was actually from the bathroom upstairs. There was a small drip in the shower pan in the upstairs bathroom. The water would come out slowly and soak up the insulation between the walls and the cupboards. The water would take a day at least to evaporate which gave the mold plenty of time for it to grow on shelves.
Give SERVPRO of Montclair/ West Orange a call if you happen to see mold where you think there is no water. We’ll find the water and cleanup the fungus.
